Digitmovies reissues “Watch me when I kill” (aka “Il gatto dagli Occhi di Giada”) OST by Trans Europa Express, on CD.

SOUNDTRACK

Digitmovies reintroduces this remarkable progressive avant-garde rock soundtrack

based on Antonio Bido’s 1977 cult movie “Watch me when I kill”. Music is written and

performed by Trans Europa Express. For this CD we used the recording session’s

master stereo tapes. Its progressive style follows the band’s origins, infact, Trans

Europa Express’s lineup consisted of: Mauro Lusini, singer, writer of the well-known

“C'era un ragazzo che come me” by Gianni Morandi and voice for “Volo” by Goblins,

Gianfranco Coletta, guitarist for Chetro & Co and for the earliest Banco del Mutuo

Soccorso’s formation, Glauco Borrelli, Albero Motore’s bass player, Adriano

Monteduro, guitarist who recorded his first album as singer and song writer together

with Reale Accademia di Musica. The atrocious killings are highlighted by a theme

full of mystery, where the electric bass prevails, creating those atmospheres typical

of Dario Argento’s movies, and by rythmical rock themes. This score alternates

delicate moments, magical and romantic, to a great variety of avant-garde tracks,

very impactful both in the movie and out. A soundtrack for every archive devoted to

noir genre.

Directed by Antonio Bido in 1977 and starring Corrado Pani, Paola Tedesco, Bianca

Toccafondi, Giuseppe Addobbati, Inna Alexeieva, Gianfranco Bullo, Fernando Cerulli,

Franco Citti, Yill Pratt.

PLOT

Mara, young cabaret actress, witnesses the assassination of farmacist Biagio and

sees the killer. For this reason, she is threatened by the stranger and turns to Lukas

for help. So does another man, also stalked by some mysterious guys. In the

meantime, an innocent teacher, with no enemies that she knows of, gets killed. While

investigating, Lukas finds out the two victims had taken part in the trial jury that

sentenced an innocent man. He also finds out that the man has escaped from jail, so

he decides to tell the judge that conducted the trial all about his suspects.
