Inspired by director George Pal's Academy Award®-winning classic film, The Time Machine is perhaps Russell Garcia's most well known musical work - a thrilling symphonic score bursting with a sense of wonder and adventure.

In 1987, Garcia recreated his breathtaking music again with The Graunke Symphony Orchestra in Munich, Germany which resulted in this landmark re-recording. Now after 35 years since the initial vinyl and CD, Russell's rescoring and conducting of his brilliant Time Machine composition is back.

Remastered from the original digital stereo elements, this new version includes previously unreleased tracks. The bonus Suite from Atlantis, The Lost Continent that Garcia rescored is also included.

CD comes in a jewel case with a 20 page color booklet that features background and an exclusive interview with Russell Garcia. Cover and graphic design by Jim Titus. Liner notes by Producer Arnold Leibovit.

This sensational Limited Edition CD should excite music collectors everywhere!

The Time Machine stands out as perhaps George Pal's greatest work - aided in large measure by Russell Garcia's heroic, emotionally-charged musical score - that transports us to places we never thought possible.

The music is a wonderful mix of dynamism and romanticism that is both beautiful and uplifting. In Garcia’s inspired hands, we can hear the loving themes of Filby and The Time Traveler (their friendship comes alive through the ages), the glorious Time Machine (a mechanism we fully believed could perform the fantastic), the beautiful and terrifying H.G. Wells’ worlds of the Eloi and the Morlocks - rekindled with a resonance both heartbreaking and unforgettable.

George Pal’s The Time Machine is one of the most memorable science fiction feature films of the 1950s. The film stars Rod Taylor as a Victorian scientist (presumably H.G. himself) who invents a machine that hurtles him through time to the far distant future world in the year 802,701. There man has evolved into two species: the gentle surface dwelling Eloi and the beastly Morlocks who live beneath the Earth.

All these disparate elements seem to magically coalesce due to George Pal’s wise directorial sensibilities, a heartfelt story of friendship and love coupled with an understanding of special effects that Pal pioneered from his early stop-motion animated Puppetoon™ days.

Added to this mix were great performances by Taylor and Alan Young as his friend, Filby, plus the creation of undoubtedly one of the most iconic props in movie history - The Time Machine itself - topped off by Russell Garcia’s magnificent musical score.

All together this became the feature The Time Machine, a bonafide cinema classic and the one for which George Pal and Russell Garcia will be most remembered!
